Accountant:
Description: The Accountant will be responsible for managing all accounting activities for a store, or a group of stores within the West Herr Automotive Group.

Qualifications: Accounting degree preferred. Three to five years of experience in a dealership preferred. Working knowledge of dealership documents. Excellent communication skills. Professional appearance.

Accounting Clerk:
Description: The Accounting Clerk collects payments and/or pays vendors on behalf of the company.

Qualifications: Accounting degree preferred. One year of experience in a dealership preferred. Working knowledge of dealership documents. Excellent communication skills. Professional appearance.

Body Shop Estimator:
Description: Provides written estimates to customers and works with insurance companies on bill details.

Qualifications: Must have good communication skills. 1-3 years experience in a dealership setting preferred. Working knowledge of all aspects of collision estimates and insurance company requirements.

Body Shop Painter:
Description: A Body Shop Painter is responsible for the preparation and finishing of vehicles, which includes good understanding of factory vehicle specifications.

Qualifications: Working knowledge of all aspects of automotive refinishing. Minimum 5 years’ experience.

Body Shop Technician:
Description: The Body Shop Technician is responsible for frame, body, chassis, and safety repairs.

Qualifications: Working knowledge of all aspects of auto body repair, including heavy collision and frame repair. Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) preferred.

Cashier:
Description: The Cashier receives payments from customers and employees and accurately records the amount received.

Qualifications: Prior experience in a customer service or sales type role. Knowledge of general PC functions.

Collision Manager:
Customer Service Representative (Sales and Service BDC):

Description: The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling all incoming phone inquiries and setting up service appointments or appointments for customers to visit the dealership.

Qualification: This position requires extensive phone use; therefore, successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills and computer proficiency.

Detailer:
Description: The Detailer ensures that all pre-delivery vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and ready for the customer. This position may be combined with the Lot Attendant position in some dealerships.

Qualifications: Valid and acceptable Motor Vehicle record. Ability to effectively communicate. Professional appearance.

Driver:
Description: The various Driving positions are responsible for transporting vehicles, customers, and/or parts to and from West Herr and other locations in a safe and responsible manner.

Qualifications: Valid and acceptable Motor Vehicle record; ability to effectively communicate; professional appearance required. Prior experience in a similar position preferred.

Financial Services (F&I) Manager:
Description: The F&I Manager sells warranties and other products to customers. The F&I Manager also helps customers finance their vehicles.

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent; college degree a plus. Prior dealership sales experience and knowledge of finance and insurance procedures required. Experience in finance helpful.

General Manager:
Description: Responsible for the successful operation of the entire dealership. Develops business plans, motivates employees, and coordinates the activities of all departments.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Excellent business management skills. Minimum 2 years in a dealership sales capacity, and minimum 2 years in a supervisory position; experience in other dealership departments a plus. Excellent verbal and written skills. Professional appearance.

Greeter/Receptionist:
Description: The Greeter serves as the dealership’s front-line contact person with customers, both in-person and by phone. He or she welcomes customers and directs them to their desired location.

Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal skills. Professional appearance. Positive attitude.

Human Resources:
Description: The Human Resources professional performs many duties associated with the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications: Human Resources or similar degree and prior Human Resources or related experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Professional appearance.

Internal Auditor:
Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, be self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. Prior accounting experience and/or working in the automotive industry are a plus. Job duties require local travel and working outdoors. Work hours are split between our dealerships and corporate office.

IT Professional:
Description: This position supports the day to day activities of the IT Team in areas such as hardware installation, maintenance and repair, and Help Desk support.

Qualifications: Ability to communicate technical information in a nontechnical fashion. Knowledge of computer and network systems, applications, procedures and techniques. Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Desire and ability to learn new skills and support new systems and applications.

Lot Attendant:
Description: The Lot Attendant organizes the vehicle lot in an efficient and effective manner, and prepares vehicles for customer viewing and/or purchase. This position may be combined with the Detailer position in some dealerships.

Qualifications: Valid and acceptable Motor Vehicle record. Ability to effectively communicate. Professional appearance.

Parts Consultant:
Description: The Parts Clerk sells parts to customers, and performs many duties associated with the up-keep and organization of parts inventory, including verification and recordkeeping on incoming and outgoing shipments.

Qualifications: Ability to interpret vendor catalogs; ability to use parts department computer system, calculator, motor vehicle, and tier-life and hand trucks; ability to use mechanical tools such as crimpers, pliers, wrenches and tape measure.

Parts Manager:
Description: The Parts Manager must run a profitable and efficient parts department through proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staffing, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising. He or she will be trained on the dealership’s computer system.

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. One year of supervisory experience and one year of experience. Ability to operate the department profitably within dealership guidelines. Professional appearance.

Sales Assistant:
Description: The Sales Assistant performs duties associated with supporting the Sales Consultant and dealership’s sales department in all aspects of selling, servicing and retaining customers. The Sales Assistant prepares the proper paperwork for delivery of the vehicle and follows up with potential customers.

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent; college degree a plus. Excellent communication skills. Valid in-state driver’s license. Professional appearance.

Sales and Leasing Consultant:
Description: The Sales and Leasing Consultant sells and leases new and pre-owned vehicles to meet dealership sales, profit and customer satisfaction goals.

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent; college degree a plus. Excellent communication skills. Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards. Valid in-state driver’s license. Professional appearance.

Sales and Leasing Professional:
Description: The Sales and Leasing Professional sells and leases new and pre-owned vehicles to meet dealership sales, profit and customer satisfaction goals.

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent; college degree a plus. Excellent communication skills. Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards. Valid in-state driver’s license. Professional appearance.

Sales Manager:
Description: Ensures the dealership meets its sales goals. Plans, organizes and measures new and/or used vehicle sales departments.

Service Advisor:
Description: The Service Advisor schedules service work and suggests additional work needed to customers.

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. Two years of experience in a dealership position. General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) preferred. Sales experience preferred. Professional Appearance.

Service Coordinator:
Description: The Service Coordinator assists the Service Advisor in daily tasks such as scheduling service work and suggesting additional work needed to customers.

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer skills a plus. Desire and ability to learn new skills. Professional Appearance.

Service Manager:
Description: The Service Manager’s job is to run an efficient and profitable service department. He or she must operate the department at maximum production, control costs, build a loyal clientele, maintain good employee relationships, set and reach sales and profit objectives and maintain service records.

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. Two years of experience in an auto repair facility. Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) preferred. One year of supervisory experience. Excellent communication, supervisory and managerial skills.

Service Technician:
Description: The Service Technician will perform vehicle repair and maintenance work to meet dealership and factory standards. He or she may oversee the work of apprentice technicians.

Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. Positive Attitude. Highly developed technical skills, including analytic thought process. Effective oral and written skills. Ability to remain organized in a dynamic environment. Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. New York State Inspector’s license. Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) preferred.

Title & Billing Clerk:
Description: The Title/Billing Clerk process sales transactions. He or she verifies information for the accounting department and prepares legal transfer documents for the state department of motor vehicles.

Qualifications: One year of general office experience. Automotive accounting experience preferred.
