Steve Tasker
Steve Tasker has been the spokesman for West Herr since 2006. He is a former NFL Pro Bowler and all-time football great, but meet him just once and within minutes you’ll feel like you’re talking to a long-time friend.
Tasker has the uncanny ability to make people feel comfortable and relaxed when he is in the room. In fact, Scott Bieler, the President of the West Herr Automotive Group, has said, “Steve is simply one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and we are grateful to have him representing West Herr.”
Steve the Football Player
Legendary Buffalo Bills coach Marv Levy called Steve “one of the greatest special teams players to ever play the game.” What made Steve so unique on the football field was that no one before him had ever developed a reputation and garnered pro bowl selections based on Special Teams play without returning the ball. He was named #9 on ESPN’s list of “The top 10 players not in the NFL hall of fame.” We hope he gets off that list soon!
Steve the Commentator
After retiring, Steve found work as the West Herr spokesman and as a color commentator for CBS. One of his most notable moments on television was when he had to fill approximately 30 minutes of air time during the Super Bowl Blackout of 2013. He did an outstanding job, and showed a tremendous ability to think on his feet.
Steve the West Herr New Yorker
He is a first-class individual, a terrific father and husband, and an incredible ambassador for Western New York. We are grateful to have him on the team, and look forward to many successful years working together in the future.
