West Herr Wednesday: Steve Vieira

For this week’s West Herr Wednesday, we stopped by our newly acquired Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat store in Rochester (formerly Doan Dodge) to get to know sales & leasing professional, Steve Vieira!

Steve got his start in the automotive industry almost 20 years ago. Steve’s father has worked in the industry for over 35 years, so naturally Steve became drawn to automotive at a young age. Steve began working for another dealership 20 years ago, then shifted over to the Doan group about 10 years ago and has been here ever since.

When asked what his favorite part of his role is, Steve responded “I have a knack for listening to my customers’ wants and needs, so being able to help find the best fit for them is the most rewarding part of my job. Purchasing a vehicle can be an intimidating experience for many people, so I really try to make the process as comfortable and easy as I can. Empathy truly is the most important skill you can have in this business.”

We also asked Steve what he has liked most about working for Doan that he hopes West Herr will continue to carry on, and he responded “What I really liked most about Doan compared to other dealers was the fact that they always put the customer first. Management has always encouraged us to go above and beyond for the customer in order to make sure they had a good experience. I’m excited for the opportunity to carry on that tradition and expand my network of new vehicle brands and pre-owned vehicles.”

Steve was born and raised in the Rochester area. Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending his free time with his wonderful wife of 9 years, Christine, and his two sons, Blaise and Jackson. When the weather warms up, you can usually find Steve and his family outdoors. Steve is also an avid Oakland Raiders fan and grew up watching their games; he even plans on taking a trip to Vegas in the near future once the team relocates!
