Sharon Chevrolet Acquired by West Herr Automotive Group

We are pleased to announce that The West Herr Automotive Group has completed the purchase of Sharon Chevrolet, formerly owned by Mike Carrow.  On Friday, February 13th, West Herr Chevrolet of Clay will be open for business at 3687 NY-31 (Liverpool) in the Town of Clay, in its current nearly new 28,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility.  Sharon Chevrolet as been in business for 45 years and is the #2 volume Chevrolet dealership in the Syracuse market.  The #1 volume dealership in the market is West Herr Chevrolet of East Syracuse. 

According to Scott Bieler, President and CEO of the West Herr Automotive Group, “Mike Carrow has assembled a great team, and we’re excited to work with them.  Mike’s culture, coupled with his commitment to the community, makes for a great match with West Herr.  This acquisition provides us with the opportunity to continue to grow both the West Herr and Chevrolet brands in the Syracuse market.  West Herr stands ready to serve the growing population stimulated in large part by the construction of Micron’s Semiconductor complex in Clay and the ancillary businesses to come.  West Herr now has 41 locations in our automotive group, with West Herr Chevrolet of Clay becoming our second Chevrolet dealership in Syracuse and our 6th Chevrolet dealership, group-wide.”

Scott Bieler continued, “West Herr Chevrolet of Clay will have 55 employees and is projected to sell a combined total of 2000 new and used vehicles per year.  We are excited to continue operations with the current team so that our customers have the same great experience at this Chevrolet store as they have always had.”
