WEST HERR WEDNESDAY: Jen Waters

For this week’s West Herr Wednesday, we headed over to West Herr Nissan of Lockport to meet Sales Consultant, Jen Waters. Jen Is coming up on her one-year anniversary at West Herr in May!

Prior to working in the automotive industry, Jen worked in banking and finance for about twenty years. After fully exiting that field, Jen saw a commercial for a dealership hiring for sales and decided to apply! She mentions how happy she is that she ended up in Auto Sales.

Jen made her way to West Herr in May of 2022, and has been at the Nissan dealership in Lockport since she started. “I love working at this location. It is such a supportive and uplifting environment,” Jen says.

She mentions that when she started at West Herr, it felt like she was “coming up to the Big Leagues.”

Jen says her biggest learning curve was the adjustment from working at one dealership to now having 39 dealerships at your fingertips.

“It’s a whole different experience when you start moving cars and meeting your customers at other locations,” Jen mentions.

She wanted to thank her management staff who have been there supporting her from day one, “They have been there to guide me and bring me up to where I am today.” says Jen.

A fun fact about Jen is that she was born & raised in Seattle, Washington!

Jen then moved to Arizona, where she met her husband, Jeremy. They decided to move to Buffalo, which is where Jeremy is originally from.

Jen has a full house with five cats, a dog, and two sons!

Jen says that her favorite thing to do outside of work is spend time with family. Her oldest son is away at college, so when he comes home, she likes to take advantage of their time together!

Jen mentions her and her family love to have campfires in their back yard, go axe throwing, and even long boarding! She also mentions she loves to go out to eat and try new restaurants as a family.

“From day one, I fell in love with the environment. Being able to meet people and help people, and get outside while doing it,” Jen says as she talks about how much she enjoys her job.

Jen has such a passion for sales and we are so lucky to have her on Team West Herr!
