WEST HERR WEDNESDAY: Jordan Cedro

For this week’s West Herr Wednesday, we ventured out to our newest location, West Herr Subaru of Lockport, to catch up with Lot Manager, Jordan Cedro. Jordan may be new to the dealership environment, but he brings a wealth of experience and a passion for the automotive world to his role.

Before joining West Herr, Jordan was deeply immersed in the world of custom builds, specializing in hot rods and rat rods at an auto shop. Seeking something new, Jordan transitioned to the dealership setting. “West Herr was highly recommended by a bunch of people, and my General Manager, Mark Carrow gave me the opportunity. I love it here.”

Jordan had a varied career before West Herr, running his own business in home renovation and construction, as well as landscaping and snow plowing. When he saw the job posting for West Herr, he decided to take the leap. “I have always heard good things about West Herr, and it caught my attention,” he shares.

As a relatively new member of the team at Subaru Lockport, Jordan has been impressed with the comprehensive training provided. “The first week we were here before opening, we had extensive training. Everyone was in the conference room going through Subaru University learning all the basics of each vehicle,” Jordan says.

“Even though I don’t sell cars, it’s great knowledge to have. When I’m on the lot and approach a customer, I can give them the info they need, and introduce them to someone who can close the sale. The training they provide is outstanding.”

Outside of work, Jordan enjoys relaxing and spending quality time with his girlfriend. Jordan lives in Orchard Park and also has two cats.

When it comes to colleagues, Jordan has high praise for his team. He gives a lot of credit to Mark Carrow and how much he has guided and helped Jordan out. As well as Tyler Cummings, the Sales Manager and Glen Lista. “Everyone at this dealership is great, I help them, and they help me.”

Jordan is particularly grateful for the company culture at West Herr saying, “West Herr is the place to be for employment. They treat everybody fairly and very well. Scott Bieler does so much for us. I wake up in the morning and love coming to work, I’m always early.”

Jordan’s enthusiasm for his role and team is evident. Reflecting on his short time at Subaru Lockport, he recalls many fond memories, including the camaraderie of bringing in new cars and everyone pitching in to help on hot days, with all the running back and forth.

Looking to the future, Jordan’s goal is to move to a Sales position within the company. “I want to work up eventually to a desk job in a sales office one day, but I’m taking small steps,” he says.
