WEST HERR WEDNESDAY: Kirsten Volpe

For this week’s West Herr Wednesday, we headed over to BMW of Buffalo to meet Service Consultant, Kirsten Volpe. Kirsten has worked with BMW for almost 2 years.

Prior to West Herr’s acquisition of BMW of Buffalo, Kirsten worked in the BDC and ran the call center for Towne BMW. She explains how her role has changed since working for West Herr.

“I’ve kind of been doing a little bit of everything. From assisting management with day-to-day processes, and now learning more of the advisor end of things,” Kirsten says.

Before working in the Auto Industry, Kirsten managed a call center for twenty years. She has a passion for management and working face-to-face with people.

Kirsten shared is that she works alongside some of her closest family members.

“My brother Tom works in dispatch, and my two sons’ work at BMW of Buffalo with me!” Kirsten says.

Kirsten reflects on the beginning of her journey at West Herr. “I have had such a great experience with the transition to West Herr. Everything from the training to the compassionate people who work here,” says Kirsten.

When it comes to Kirsten’s future here at West Herr, she is excited for where it will take her. “I see myself in management. Coming from a management background and being a people-person, I definitely see management in my future,” she says.

Kirsten talks about the co-workers that have helped her learn the West Herr Way! “Doug Martin, the Service Director at BMW of Rochester, has been a huge help with paving the way,” she says.

She also wants to shout out, Mark Ziesz, Director of Safety & Implementation, Jay Galligan, Vice President of Fixed Operations, Mark Carrow, General Manager of BMW of Buffalo, and Adam Orzechowski, Service Manager of BMW of Buffalo.

A fun fact about Kirsten is that she was born in Nuremburg, Germany and has a dual citizenship! She was raised in an Army family, and moved to the States when she was two-years old.

Outside of work, Kirsten and her family like to maintain a very active lifestyle! She mentions she loves to go to the gym with her husband, Jim. They also love to go camping on weekends in the Summer. Kirsten describes this as her much needed quality time with family.

Kirsten has three children, her daughter Bella, and her two sons, Austin & Cody. She also mentions she has two stepchildren, Jimmy & Devyn!
