WEST HERR WEDNESDAY: Renee Campbell

For this week’s West Herr Wednesday, we headed over to West Herr KIA to meet Used Car Sales Manager, Renee Campbell. Renee is newer to Team West Herr, soon coming up on three months, but has already made such a huge impact!

Before starting in the Auto Industry, Renee was in nursing school and had ambitions to become a nurse. After finding out that career path wasn’t for her, she had gone into an industry she never thought she would end up in.

Prior to working at West Herr, Renee worked at an independent dealership in Niagara Falls, where she is originally from. She started as a Sales Assistant, and soon after three months she moved her way up to full time sales. Making her way up to management, Renee mentioned she felt she had reached her cap and wanted to look for her next challenge. That is when she decided to give West Herr a try!

She says she felt confident in making switch to West Herr because she saw a lot of opportunity here. Renee mentions she had a few learning curves coming from her previous dealership – one being working with more brands across all our dealerships.

When Renee first stared here at West Herr, she was paired with Sales Manager of our West Herr Chevrolet of Williamsville Store, Gary Groat. “Gary introduced me to everyone, and it was just such a different environment than what I was used to. That was the biggest thing that stood out to me,” Renee says.

She adds that everybody she has met so far at West Herr has been so kind and willing to lend a hand. “Everyone was willing to help me out if I had a question or need any help, it is such a great environment,” she says.

When talking about her location, she mentions she really enjoys working for the KIA brand. “I love working with Jess Allen, KIA General Manager. I think we are a great team, it’s a great environment here and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish this year,” Renee says.

When Renee isn’t working, she is definitely staying busy! She is also a landlord for a rental property she purchased a few years back, and recently purchased a lake house that she fixes up in her spare time. She loves to read & spend time with her dog, Louis! Her and her sister also love to travel in their spare time. She mentions her favorite place she’s traveled was to Saint Martin, and she one day aspires to travel to Italy!

In Renee’s short time here, there have been a lot of people who have helped her ger acquainted with the “West Herr Way.” She mentions that Jess Allen is a huge part in why she accepted her position at West Herr in the first place. “In the interview process, I feel like we clicked so well,” she says. She also mentions she has typically only worked for male management, so it was refreshing & inspiring to have Jess to look up to as her direct report.

When asking Renee about her goals at West Herr, she quickly mentions she wants to become a General Manager and run her own store in the near future. Her determination and drive make that seem to be very possible!

Renee has already hit the ground running in the short time she has been here, and we cannot wait to see all that she accomplishes! Keep it up, Renee!
