For this week’s West Herr Wednesday, we took a trip to West Herr Buick GMC Cadillac of East Aurora where we sat down with Salena Lenard! Salena started at West Herr as a Sales Assistant, and after six months decided it was time for something new, which is what led her to her current position as a Title and Billing Clerk and DMV Partner!
Salena joined the West Herr family nearly two years ago after her old manager, Jameson, reached out to her about an opening within the company. She says that while she was always interested in “the look of cars” she was eager to learn more and that is what served as her main motivator when entering into the automotive industry.
During her time at West Herr Buick GMC Cadillac of East Aurora, Salena has had a strong support system around her, but there are two co-workers that stand out – Wendy and Gabby. Salena describes the switch from sales to billing as a “quick transition”, but Wendy and Gabby were always there to guide her along the way. She says the three “work very well together” which makes coming to work everyday something to look forward to.
When Salena isn’t at work, you can find her in the dance studio and even after dancing for fourteen years, she is not ready to stop anytime soon. “My life outside of work is literally dance. That’s all I do outside of here”, she says. Whether it be her own performances, hosting private classes or teaching baby ballet, her passion for dance is evident. She also shares how she is in the process of opening her own studio, which will be located in the South Buffalo area.
But it doesn’t stop there! Salena has also worked as a model, walking in shows during both Buffalo Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week.
When asked about her goals within West Herr, she said she aims to continue moving forward within her current department, as it is something that she has truly found enjoyable so far.
We are so lucky to have Salena on Team West Herr and we can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes. Keep on dancing, Salena!
